The Vermilion High School Art Department is proud to announce the extraordinary success of our students in the 2015 Scholastic Art Show competition this year. Twenty-four schools participated in the competition, with many participants entering multiple pieces of art. Awards are presented at four competition levels: Honorable Mention, Silver Key, Gold Key and American Vision. The American Vision award is presented to only five pieces each year.
VHS students were honored with 3 American Vision Awards, 9 Gold Key awards, 14 Silver Key awards and 58 Honorable Mentions, the largest group of award winners in recent history. Art teacher Christen Schneid said “Our students worked really hard this year to achieve these awards.
