The Vermilion Local School District has an immediate need for qualified substitute teachers. A teaching license or valid substitute license is required. In order to remain competitive with our neighboring districts and to attract the best possible substitutes, the Vermilion Local Board of Education took action at their Special Meeting on October 27, 2008, to increase the pay rates for substitute teachers as follows:
$90 per day
$50 per half day
$105 per day for those who are in the same position for 10 or more days
This increase is effective November 3, 2008, and represents the first increase in substitute pay rates in over eight years.
