School Opening Message
Welcome to VHS! We are looking forward to a very exciting and
rewarding school year.
This summer I was honored to present our program at a High Schools
That Work convention. As I was speaking to a crowded room, I could
not help but be reminded of what a wonderful thing we have going at
Vermilion High School. We are truly blessed with a motivated
student body. We have parents that are involved and concerned about
their sons and daughters education. The VHS community cares and
supports our programs and activities. We have an outstanding
faculty and staff who provide our students with the tools necessary
to pursue the goals and dreams of a lifetime.
Our school is what it is because we all have a common goal – to do
what is best for students – and we at VHS are always looking for
ways to achieve that goal.
This year, as in the past, we will continue to concentrate on the
processes that spur continuing advancement: evaluating what we
have, determining what we can do to improve, and identifying what
we need to make those improvements.
Let us all work hard and together to make 2010 our best year ever!
Go Sailors!
