COVID-19 Return to School Updated Guidance from
Erie County Health Department and the CDC
Effective 12/28/2021
If You Test Positive for COVID -19
Please isolate and report your positive case(s) to ECHD and Vermilion Schools
EVERYONE - REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS
• Stay home for 5 days from symptom onset. Day 1= the day after symptoms began or the day after the positive test was given.
• If you have no symptoms, or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house.
• Continue to wear a mask around others for five (5) additional days.
• If you have a fever, continue to stay home until you are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
