Updated! Return to School Delayed to January 10, 2022
The Vermilion Local Schools administrators and board of education are extending the winter break until January 10, 2022. We apologize for this late notice, but recent developments in our school community have made it clear that this action is necessary.
We have been closely monitoring the increase in COVID cases in our community and have determined, with input from the Erie County Health Department and state government officials, that extending winter break will be in the best interest of our students, staff, and community. We feel that this extended break time will help to decrease the spread of the virus in our community.
We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the week and provide additional updates as necessary. Please stay tuned for updates via our Facebook page and district website!
Students will return to class on Monday, January 10, 2022.
After-school sports and practices will continue as scheduled.
These non-school days will be reported to P-EBT. Qualified students will receive funds directly from the State of Ohio for meals missed during this period.
Bus transportation for EHOVE students will be available leaving Vermilion High School daily and returning back to the high school in the afternoon.
These are very challenging times. We are doing the best we can to serve all students and families in a variety of situations. Please be safe and we hope to see you on January 10th.
