Personal Learning Plan 

Graduation Planning - all students in grades 9-11 will meet individually with their school counselor, after filling out a Graduation Plan Survey, to discuss and plan out their 4 years of high school including courses they will take, plans to achieve competency, Ohio Graduation Seals and an other requirements that are needed.  Graduation Planning also includes developing a plan for after high school via the “Three E’s” - Employment, Enlistment, or Enrollment

Testing Information 

During April and May, students will participate in Ohio state testing

College and Career Readiness

During the first semester, 9th grade students visit EHOVE Career Center the FutureMakers Manufacturing Day.  Students participate in demonstrations and interactive activities with local businesses in the manufacturing trades.  Classroom lessons are woven into the 9th grade curriculum through push-in lessons from the school counselor based on student needs and student feedback.   

Individual Meetings with Counselor, Course Selection and Planning

Individual appointments can be made with students and/or parents to address academic, career and personal issues as needed.  School counselors deliver information regarding high school graduation requirements and recommendations for graduation planning through class meetings, classroom lessons, and a course request classroom visit.

Strategies are embedded in the school schedule throughout the school year for students.  Some of these lessons include: 


Monthly Work Skills Wednesday lessons focusing on executive functioning and employability skills

Parent Programs

Programs and information nights throughout the school year include Navigation Night, Conference Nights where counselors are available, College Credit Plus Information NIght, Financial Aid and Scholarship nights, Graduation Plan meetings with parents in grades 9-12
